Kris
Cat & Dog Profiler
Ever since she was a baby, Kris has been surrounded by all things furry, so it's no surprise that she
finds herself at Pet Orphans rolling around with the resident cats and dogs. Originally from the East
Coast, Kris moved out to CA after graduating from college, to pursue her very glamorous television
writing career. She spends as much time as she can here at Pet Orphans hugging and chatting up the
cats and dogs because they are uncontrollably adorable, they always listen to her and they don't need
to have ESPN on all the time. Kris lives with her Aussie husband and their four adopted furry kids:
spunky kitties Arwen, Greggsy and Steve Nash; and their tennis ball-fanatic Golden Retriever, Billie
Holiday.

Jerri
Dog Profiler
Jerri began volunteering at Pet Orphans in 1996 and has remained active here since then. She began
writing the Dog Profiles early in 1998 and spends as much time with the critters here as she possibly
can, getting to know them; giving them the love, guidance, and security they crave and need. Jerri, a
professional writer, has co-authored two musical stage plays which were produced and performed in the
San Fernando Valley. She has also written several articles which appeared in local newspapers as well
as one uplifting article, "Consider Joy" which was highlighted in the Science of Mind
Magazine. Currently writing an article about her adopted dog, Nunzio, Jerri's beloved canine
companion is, in fact, an alumni of Pet Orphans. Recipient of the 2002 Volunteer of the Year and the
2003 Counselor of the Year Awards, Jerri, an animal lover since childhood, continues to help our needy
orphans find their "forever homes". From her sense of humor to her deep love of our dogs,
Jerri is truly a much appreciated asset to this organization.
