Elvira is not one of them! While Elvira tolerates the daily routines of kennel life, she most enjoys her visits to staff offices where she has a chance to take a deep breath, relax and be the very special girl she wants to be. When she relaxes, Elvira is a delightful dog who enjoys being with people. She plays with a number of dogs every day in our play yard but can be a bit selective about her pals, so adopters will want to do a dog match with any existing pets before adoption. Elvira's figure is somewhat "pleasingly plump" so for her long term health, adopters will want to keep her on a low-calorie diet and make sure she gets regular exercise. Elvira can be sensitive about being picked up. She is currently in foster care, where her foster is working with her on this using positive reinforcement techniques and are seeing daily progress.
